Microsoft exec predicts shift in net ad market

Too much emphasis is put on Internet-search advertising, says Brian McAndrews, a Microsoft senior vice president who predicts that more buyers will switch to other kinds of online ads.
Microsoft, which is far behind Google Inc. in the Internet-search market, gets the bulk of its advertising revenue from so-called display ads -- banners, video spots and other graphical promotions.
Because Google is newer to display ads, Microsoft may benefit if more buyers embrace the format.
