MS: We will NOT charge for added security

Clearing up comments made by a Microsoft executive at a security conference in Paris earlier this week, a company spokesman said Wednesday the software maker was not considering charging for additional security options within its products. "You will not see price upgrades for additional security in our software," Microsoft Spokesman Rick Miller said. The spokesman added that Microsoft has invested some $100 million in its new trustworthy computing push to provide customers with added security within their products.
