Overstock, Microsoft reach settlement

Online discount retailer Overstock.com said on Monday it has reached a settlement with software leader Microsoft on litigation concerning allegations of advertising unauthorized Microsoft software. Overstock said settlement was "substantial" but not material to liquidity and will not harm its future prospects. Terms of the settlement were confidential. Further details on the litigation were not immediately available. Shares of Overstock.com closed at $11.95 on Thursday and shares of Microsoft closed at $25.50.
