A former Microsoft employee pleaded guilty yesterday to mail fraud in a case in which the government alleged she stole Microsoft software and sold it for her personal gain. Kori Robin Brown, 31, of Spokane is the third Microsoft employee accused of taking advantage of an internal Microsoft system that allowed employees to order and receive Microsoft software for business purposes for free. The software had a retail value of more than $6 million and sold the software to a third party for between $50,000 and $100,000, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
